Mark 14:32 They came to a small estate called Gethsemane,
and Jesus said to his disciples,
`Stay here while I pray'.
33 Then He took Peter and James and John with Him.
And a sudden fear came over Him, and great distress.
34 And He said to them,
`My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here, and keep awake.'
35 And going on a little further He threw himself on the ground
and prayed that, if it were possible, this hour might pass Him by.
36 `Abba (Father)!' He said ` Everything is possible for You.
Take this cup away from Me.
But let it be as You, not I, would have it.'
37 He came back and found them sleeping, and He said to Peter,
`Simon, are you asleep? Had you not the strength to keep awake one hour?
38 You should be awake, and praying not to be put to the test.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'
39 Again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.
40 And once more He came back and found them sleeping,
their eyes were so heavy; and they could find no answer for Him.

Jesus Christ has demonstrated that He is stronger than the forces in the world.

Luke 13:31 Just at this time some Pharisees came up.
`Go away' they said. `Leave this place, because Herod means to kill you.'
32 He replied, You may go and give that fox this message:
Learn that today and tomorrow I cast out devils and
on the third day attain My end.
33 But for today and tomorrow and the next day I must go on,
since it would not be right for a prophet to die outside Jerusalem.
34 Jerusalem, Jerusalem you that kill the prophets and stone
those who are sent to you!
How often have I longed to gather your children,
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you refused!
35 So be it! Your house will be left to you.
Yes, I promise you,
you shall not see Me till the time comes when you say:
Blessings on Him who comes in the name of the Lord!'

Isaiah 55:10 Yes, as the rain and the snow come down from the heavens
and do not return without watering the earth,
making it yield and giving growth to provide
