John Henry II

Jesus specified the rule…

John 5:30 I can do nothing by Myself; I can judge only as I am told to judge, and My judging is just, because My aim is to do not My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

He was a living example of the rule…

John 8:27 They failed to understand that He was talking to them about the Father. 28 So Jesus said: ‘When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He and that I do nothing of Myself; what the Father has taught Me is what I preach; He who sent Me is with Me, and has not left Me to Myself, for I always do what pleases Him’.

And He invited all to be his partners.

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in Me, with Me in him, bears fruit in plenty; for cut off from Me you can do nothing.

When we are cut off from him, the most sublime lyric supported by the most beautiful art is nothing more than waste.
When we are cut off from him, the greatest scientific theory producing the most advanced product is nothing more than a speck of dust.

We’re going to have to kill this guy…

When we are cut off from him, our intentions pave the way to hell.

Matthew 22:11 When the king came in to look at the guests he noticed one man who was not wearing a wedding garment, 12 and said to him, “How did you get in here, my friend, without a wedding garment?” And the man was silent. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, “Bind him hand and foot and throw him out into the dark, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth”.

Please help us live by this rule Jesus!

Matthew 5:30 And if your right hand should cause you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; for it will do you less harm to lose one part of you than to have your whole body go to hell.

Is this enough?

Is this enough?
Is this enough?

“At this festive season of the year, Mr Scrooge, … it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir.”
“Are there no prisons?”
“Plenty of prisons…”
“And the Union workhouses.” demanded Scrooge. “Are they still in operation?”
“Both very busy, sir…”
“Those who are badly off must go there.”
“Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.”
“If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”

Matthew 5:22 But I say this to you: anyone who is angry with his brother will answer for it before the court; if a man calls his brother “Fool” he will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and if a man calls him “Renegade” he will answer for it in hell fire.

The November 6, 2017 issue of Time featured 3 articles about President Trump’s cabinet. It also contains this article about the applications of diseased organs.

We don’t want this to happen.

Don’t get too comfortable. As Winona Ryder said, “Remember that our mission is to cure.”

Matthew 5:22 But I say this to you: anyone who is angry with his brother will answer for it before the court; if a man calls his brother “Fool” he will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and if a man calls him “Renegade” he will answer for it in hell fire.
