Carrie Fisher has written a new book based on her diaries. Since it is just a few days before Christmas 2016, now would be a good post to follow her example by reviewing my past.
Every human being except one was born with original sin. Those of us that are long lived accumulate mountains of sin even if we are not superstars like Carrie Fisher.
Jesus Christ teaches that the Father alone is good.
Matthew 19:17 Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you ask Me about what is good? There is one alone who is good.’
Mark 10:17 He was setting out on a journey when a man ran up, knelt before Him and put this question to Him “Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good but God alone.’
Luke 18:18 A member of one of the leading families put this question to Him, “Good Master, what have I to do to inherit eternal life?” 19 Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good but God alone.’
In fact, I am an infinitesimally small ball of sin in an uncaring universe. But the Triune God does care enough to send me prophets. I learn and accumulate a little bit of profit and I see the prophets become greater. And some day we will accumulate enough profit to see the Triune God!

2 Samuel 7:9…I will give you fame as great as the fame of the greatest on earth. 10 I will provide a place for my people Israel; I will plant them there and they shall dwell in that place and never be disturbed again; nor shall the wicked continue to oppress them as they did, 11 in the days when I appointed judges over my people Israel; I will give them rest from all their enemies. Elohim: will make you great; Elohim: will make you a House. 12 And when your days are ended and you are laid to rest with your ancestors, I will preserve the offspring of your body after you and make His sovereignty secure. 13 (It is He who shall build a house for My name, and I will make His royal throne secure for ever.) 14 I will be a Father to Him and He a Son to Me; if he does evil, I will punish him with the rod such as men use, with strokes such as mankind gives. 15 Yet I will not withdraw my favor from him, as I withdrew it from your predecessor. 16 Your House and your sovereignty will always stand secure before Me and your throne be established for ever.
