I downloaded the Gallery 2.2 “full” zipped package, unzipped it, and uploaded it to my website. The upload only took 10 hours. I started the install as directed and I was greeted with a page of errors. I tried again and an install page was generated (surrounded by warning messages).
I got as far as step 2, authenticate. Theoretically the system allows one to download a “login.txt” file, but every time I tried the link all I got was a page of warnings. I went through hoops to generate a login.txt file, but the system does not seem to see the file even though I uploaded it to the stated location on the server.
I am going to try an alternate type of unpackaging and retry the install. This means I must delete the 42MB of data I uploaded to the server.
First Attempt at Gallery 2.2 Installation | words @ TheNonProfitCommunity is a wonderful posting. I am going to spend more time studying this topic.
