Matthew 10:17 `Beware of men: they will hand you over to sanhedrins and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be dragged before governors and kings for My sake, to bear witness before them and the pagans. 19 But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to speak or what to say; what you are to say will be given to you when the time comes; 20 because it is not you who will be speaking; the Spirit of your Father will be speaking in you.’
How to deal with someone who strikes fear into our psyche because their intent is to deny and lead us into death? How to deal with the unknown?
We could kill them first. We could make them think twice before acting on their rage.
Mark 13:11 `And when they lead you away to hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what to say; no, say whatever is given to you when the time comes, because it is not you who will be speaking; it will be the Holy Spirit. 12 Brother will betray brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 13 You will be hated by all men on account of my name; but the man who stands firm to the end will be saved.’
Can worship be an act through which man accumulates an infinitesimal part of the Triune God?
Can dealing with the unknown be an opportunity for worship: by saying–by doing–what the Holy Spirit demands, in infinitesimally small ways at first building to greater acts as man’s time proceeds…Thus accepting part of God and dealing with what or who strikes fear into our hearts…
